Today I am busy beavering away with album design listening to the beautiful and soulful Frank Sinatra. It also got me thinking about the first dance at my wedding. This was one of the few details that my husband had full control of, whilst he didn’t go for Frank, he chose a close second with Harry Connick Junior, Only You ahhhhhhhh.
We hear a lot of first dances and it’s one of the highlights for me to see which songs couples choose. I think my favourite song choice to date was Madness – It Must be Love, with the most unusual choice to date, Elvis – Suspicious Minds … Mmmmmmm not quite first dance material, but raised some very amusing looks. What’s the most unusual song choice you’ve heard, anything more inappropriate that Suspicious Minds? xx

On Sunday we met with a lovely couple to discuss their wedding plans. Whilst looking through examples of our work, we viewed the very beautiful wedding of Victoria & Ben from September last year. I haven’t looked at their pictures for a number of months and had forgotten how wonderful their day was, the emotion, the atmosphere (it was in Ibiza so magnificent setting), her stunning dress and style, his very cool suit and relaxed demeanor, their wonderful family and friends. As we were watching I felt so overwhelmed with emotion I thought I was going to start crying! It never ceases to amaze me how pictures can evoke such emotion and transport you back the day and all the feelings. Having been privileged to photograph well over 500 weddings, I love that each one still makes me laugh, cry and give me goosebumps. It really doesn’t matter how many weddings you attend, each and every one is unique, with their own story. I hope you enjoy this selection of pictures as much as I do … xx

With a beautiful ceremony at All Saints Church in Woking conducted by a very cool Vicar; the happy couple were escorted from the Church through an umbrella archway ensuring the bride made it to her wedding car without a drop landing on her gorgeous gown. The reception took place at the beautiful Barnett Hill Hotel, a little gem hidden on the edge of Guildford. And a first for us in the evening entertainment with a Zumba dj, yes you read it correctly, unique, fun and certainly got everyone in the groove!

A few images from todays beautiful wedding of Linda and Adam. The bride and her family prepared for this special day at the gorgeous Warren House Hotel, a venue we have not been to in sometime, with the ceremony at All Saints Church in the centre of Kingston. The sun held out for the day allowing us to enjoy the wonderful gardens at The Warren House where the happy couple and there family and friends looked like they were going to party hard into the night!

The ceremony was emotional but nothing compared to the honest, romantic and truly heart warming speech given by Matt to the new Mrs Parker, not a dry eye in the house.
Drink flowing, music playing, dancing afoot, it looked like it was going to be a long night!
