WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER SURREY AND BERKSHIRE
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Surrey and Berkshire wedding photographer, Denise Winter has been providing professional wedding photography services to over 500 happy couples since 2005.
Wedding photography is exciting! Meeting new couples, each with their own story to tell and then being given the opportunity to record the raw emotion and excitement of their wedding day. The funny moments, the tears and everything in between, there really is no other occasion when these heightened emotions are felt in such abundance.
My approach to wedding photography is story telling meets creative and natural looking bride and groom portraits. 90% of my day is documenting those fleeting moments, creating images for you to relive your wedding day for many years to come. There are no awkward poses, just natural looking and timeless images. As a Surrey based wedding photographer, I am very familiar with some of the finest wedding venues Surrey has to offer, Great Fosters, Coworth Park, Pennyhill Park, Loseley Park and Botleys Mansion – to name a few. I have also photographed weddings throughout London and the South East, from The Dorchester, London; Four Seasons, Hampshire; Danesfield House, Berkshire; Hampton Court Palace and further afield in Ibiza, Dubai, Greece and not forgetting Scotland too! If you are considering a wedding at one of these venues, please do get in touch.
I started professional wedding photography in 2005. After spending a year second shooting for an award winning studio, and completing one to one mentoring with one of the countries leading wedding photographers, I photographed my first solo wedding! Since then I have been privileged to photograph over 500 weddings, gaining valuable experience and expertise. I work calmly and professionally and focus on the fact that this is your special day. I create beautiful photographs documenting the story of your day, the real moments as they happen, those moments that can’t be scripted. There will be 15-20 minutes of your day creating bride and groom portraits with a timeless quality, providing enjoyment for generations to come, the rest of your day is with family and friends, just as it should be. I was lucky to have my own family in 2007 with the arrival of my son, soon followed by my daughter, and appreciate the importance of family photography. From newborn photography through to complete generations of a family in one picture – how incredible to have such a amazing visual record of your family tree. I provide newborn photography from my studio in Windlesham, Surrey or from the comfort of your home, I appreciate that home is often where you want to be in those first few early weeks. Newborn photography styles range from the cute curled up posed images through to relaxed images documenting the natural interaction between you and your newborn.
Children’s portrait photography and family photography sessions I prefer to complete on location. Locations can range from a local park, place of interest, home or beach, pretty much anywhere you and your family feel most comfortable. During your photography session I will take a selection of relaxed family groups but also individual images of your family members caught in the moment. This approach works particularly well with young children who are happiest being able to run free. With the popularity of “selfies” I find older children only too willing to be guided into a pose emulating the fashion magazines or blog sites they frequent.
With social media becoming all the more important for networking for work and socially, far more importance is being given to creating that great first impression. I can provide head shots for LinkedIn and dating websites, with advice given on what to wear and most suitable backdrop for your picture. For those wanting to look their very best, I have access professional hair and make up artists available on the day who can talk through the look you would like to achieve.
After 10 years of photography I remain truly passionate about my work. I continue to develop my craft and add new skills and techniques to my work; from the latest technology to the art of photoshop, you never stop learning in an industry which is always evolving.
